Since July Leisure Care residents across the country have been competing in the Five-Star Yum Recipe Showdown with the hopes of winning the coveted Golden Spatula Award! The contest, spanning four months, has residents at each community competing for the titles of Best Appetizer, Best Main Course, and Best Dessert. The three winning recipes will go head to head at a fun-filled tasting event in October where each community’s Golden Spatula Award winner will be crowned. All winning recipes will be featured in a Five-Star Yum cookbook that will be released just in time for the holidays, proceeds of which will benefit the One Eighty Foundation.
